Yesterday Goody sent me this small drawer unit packed with all its ingenious hair accessories which inspired me to try out an up-do today.

Thanks to the rain my hair was a frizzy mess and this pretty up-do has disguised that, thankfully!

Follow this step-by-step to recreate this Braided Dolly Bun at home - it should take you no more than five minutes:

Give your hair a good brush to detangle.

Tip your head upside down.

Take an inch-wide section of hair at the nape of your neck and split in to three.

Start plaiting upwards, taking pieces of hair from each side to create a reverse French braid.

Once you reach the top of your head, gather all the leftover hair and twist it into a bun on top of your head.

Secure with a Goody Ouchless Elastic, from £2 at Boots.

Ta-da!

UPDATE: The draw pictured above is from Muji, £7.95 and the drawer dividers are from £1.50. Genius! Click here to visit Muji now...
