If pretty, floral prints and frills are not for you this summer, Utility Chic might just be the trend to try. Designers have been inspired by everything from sportswear to army uniforms as practical dressing hits the fashion headlines. Look out for zips, poppers, pockets and performance fabrics which are all key elements of the look, and dress up zippy, cropped trousers with spiky, sky-high heels and expensive looking jewellery for a perfect balance that is more summer in the city than seventies school sports day.
