Queen Elizabeth might have ruled Great Britain for over 60 years, but it appears there could be another queen in our midst who is keen to rule the roost – a toddler that goes by the title of Princess Charlotte.

Following the unveiling of a war memorial on Thursday to honour the servicemen and women and civilians who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, Princess Kate reportedly engaged in some 'mummy chat' with a fellow parent, swapping tips and stories about their young daughters.

According to People, the mother-of-two told Samantha Burge, wife of Warrant Officer Class 2 Chris Burge, that Princess Charlotte is the boss of the household she shares with husband, Prince William, and four-year-old, Prince George.

'She said that Charlotte is growing up really fast. She is the one in charge,' said Burge.

'We have both got 2-year-olds and they are ruling the roost. It was a bit of a mummy chat.

'[She said] they are both becoming really good friends, George and Charlotte,' the mother added, who is a parent to two daughters similar in age to the Royals.

There has been a lot of debate in the last few years about women being allowed to be bossy and it not being seen as a negative, so we reckon it's great that Princess Charlotte has already got an assertive streak.

The news comes soon after it was reported the young Royals are planning to move to London this year, just in time for Prince George to start school – presumed to be the all-boys Wetherby school, a pre-prep school where Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry attended.

Last year, Kate gave the world a rare insight into what life is like at home with her little ones, revealing that any attempt at baking Prince George, more often than not, ends in a messy affair.

Speaking to volunteers at the Youthscape project in London – a national youth charity – about making a batch of crispy cakes with her son, the mother-of-two revealed: 'When I try to do this with George at home, chocolate and the golden syrup goes everywhere. He makes so much mess. It's chaos.

'George likes his spaghetti as well, he'd love to get messy,' she added.

Meanwhile, Kate has been keen to introduce her daughter to inspirational women early on in her career as a royal, such as the likes of Charlotte's uncle, Prince Harry's new girlfriend, Meghan Markle.

In January, The Sun reported the Royal women had spent the day with the Suits actress – who just penned and inspiring letter about the importance of eradicating the stigmitisation of periods – at Kensington Palace.

Oh, to be Princess Charlotte for the day.
