It only feels like moments ago when Pamela Anderson was making headlines for going make-up free during Paris Fashion Week; an act, we should add, that isn't necessarily newsworthy.

But it seems the actor-turned-skincare founder has set the internet alight once again, this time for choosing not to walk the red carpet bare-faced. Attending this year's Met Gala - her first-ever appearance on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum Of Art - Anderson took a departure from her signature make-up-free aesthetic, complete with a soft smokey eye, glossy lips and stunning cream Oscar de la Renta gown.

'Pam wanted to wear make-up again for the Met Gala, so we created a look that acknowledged her natural beauty but then took it to the next level,' said Pat McGrath, the make-up artist behind this transformative beauty look, who is incidentally no stranger to breaking the internet herself.

After the doll-inspired haute couture show that went viral last year, McGrath has been leading beauty conversations ever since. Teasing a new formula under the guise of the models' supernatural glow, the show sent TikTokers and Redditers into a frenzy eager to glean information on the formula responsible for creating the porcelain glass skin effect.

And it seems as though McGrath might be striking gold twice. As Anderson made her debut appearance at the Met Gala, all eyes were on her new make-up – proving to be the perfect stage for McGrath to tease another new launch. 'On [Pamela's] lips, we’re debuting a brand-new product that’s coming very soon, so stay tuned as I’m so excited for you to see this major new launch from PAT McGRATH LABS!,' she shared. The product in question veered between a gloss and gel, with a neutral tone that imparted a high-shine finish.

The rest of Anderson's make-up look came together via a soft smokey eye and pink cheeks. 'We wanted to explore the next incarnation of natural — an elevation of natural — and to show how you can wear a full face of make-up but in a very fresh and beautiful way,' says McGrath.

'Pam was in love with the spa-fresh skin I’ve created for the runways, so the basis of her look is this sublimely luminous complexion using our Skin Fetish: Highlighter + Balm Duo and the beautiful new shades of our Divine Cream Blush: Legendary Glow Color Balm. The rest of her makeup is airy and lively, with a touch of fantasy,' she added.
