Ryan Reynolds relied on his go-to tactic of humour to deflect sharing the name of his and Blake Lively's third child this week.
Lively and Reynolds welcomed their third child earlier this autumn but an exact birth date is still not known as the couple successfully managed to keep the birth out of the spotlight.
Reynolds confirmed their newest addition was a baby girl in October, sharing a photo of himself, Lively and the tot - with her face covered by an odd-looking drawing for privacy reasons - in a post urging his fellow Canadians to vote.
On Thursday, the Deadpool actor was asked by Today programme hosts how the A-List couple 'came up with the name of the third' baby, despite the fact that Reynolds and Lively have not actually revealed the offspring's name.
'We haven't yet, we're going to be original and... all the letters in her name are silent,' Reynolds joked. 'I want to give her something to push against in life.'
When the interviewer Craig Melvin suggested she be known as 'anonymous', Reynolds confirmed: 'Yes, exactly.'
We hear you, Reynolds. No name reveal for the third child yet.
The married couple of seven years are also parents to eldest daughter James and their middle child Ines.
Appearing on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon this week, the 43-year-old gave an update on four-year-old James, suggesting she may well go on to follow in her famous parents' footsteps.
'She wants to be an actor, yup,' Reynolds told the talk show host. 'I'm fine if she wants to be an actor, in school and after school stuff that's fine but right now it's everyday: a recital, she's singing songs, she's doing little plays at home.'
Always the joker, Reynolds added that he tried to dissuade his daughter from becoming a child actor and said that they could 'skip showbiz and go right into cocaine'.
