Consider yourself forgiven if you're still wiping your tears, piecing together your broken heart or trying desperately to fill the void left by the ending of Netflix's recent adaptation of David Nicholls' bestseller, One Day. After airing on Valentine's Day, the series soared into the public consciousness, attracting a host of new fans to Nicholls' warm and witty work and making stars of its two leads, Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod.

For anybody still mourning the end of One Day (assuming you've also blitzed through the book and 2011 feature film as well, of course), we have good news for you. Nicholls' new book, You Are Here, has finally been released and it's every bit as moreish as its predecessor, in fact - dare we say it? - it might just be as good, if not better, than One Day.

According to the book's official synopsis, You Are Here is 'a novel of first encounters, second chances and finding the way home.' It tells the story of London-based Marnie, who feels life is passing her by, and Michael, who has become increasingly reclusive following the departure of his wife.

'When a persistent mutual friend and some very English weather conspire to bring them together, Marnie and Michael suddenly find themselves alone on the most epic of walks and on the precipice of a new friendship,' the synopsis reads. 'But can they survive the journey?'

And it won't be long before we can expect it to grace the small screen. According to several sources, following the runaway success of its adaptation of One Day, executives at Netflix have been clamouring to snap up the rights to You Are Here. 'Netflix bosses knew they were onto a winner with One Day but never predicted this level of success,' a source told the Daily Mirror. 'They are already in the process of signing a new deal for David’s next release, which promises to be just as much of a tearjerker.'
